Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A Baseball Team

Dalton Anderson leaves Holliday with an all-state first-team honor from the Texas Sports Writers Association.

On Wednesday, nine local players were named to the Blue Bell TSWA Class 3A baseball team, headlined by Anderson’s selection as a first-team third baseman.

A pair of sophomores from Jacksboro earned third-team honors, with Kaleem Howard being placed in the outfield and Jackson McComis joining him as the designated hitter.

Six others received honorable mentions, including Holliday junior receiver Peyton Marchand (.455 BA), Bowie junior second baseman Kynan Demoss (.343 BA), Jacksboro sophomore shortstop Lando Belcher (. 423 BA), Bowie junior third baseman Carson Sander (.365 BA), Holliday sophomore outfielder Grant Cox (33 points), and Bowie senior outfielder Jacob Fallis (.347 BA).

Anderson earned a first-team nod after batting .407 with 12 doubles, 38 runs and 25 RBI for the Eagles.

Howard has a reputation as an elite defensive center, but he also batted .455 with 31 runs, 14 RBIs and 19 stolen bases. McComis hit .416 with seven doubles, 23 RBIs and 19 runs.

Corpus Christi London’s Kade Budd is the Class 3A Player of the Year after leading his team to a state title.
