Chris Wilson Named 2022 Minority Corporate Counsel Association Rainmaker

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has recognized Chris Wilson as a 2022 Rainmaker. This recognition honors partners across the country who have a proven track record of achieving success through developing innovative and proactive businesses while contributing significantly to positive changes in their communities.

Wilson is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare practice. He specializes in advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a variety of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth equity investments, strategic transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters.

In addition to his practice, Wilson serves as co-chair of Goodwin’s Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED), where he focuses on the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts and helps recruit, retain and advance lawyers at color throughout the cabinet. He also co-founded and remains involved with Goodwin’s Pro Bono Naturalization Program, which runs free legal clinics that help underprivileged legal permanent residents, primarily from communities of color, navigate the naturalization process.

Wilson has previously been recognized for excellence by The Legal 500 United States 2022 and the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list for 2020. He was also named Top Lawyer Under 40 by the Hispanic National Bar Association, a pioneer in mergers and acquisitions by The National Law Journal and an emerging leader by The M&A Advisor.

Founded in 1997, MCCA is committed to increasing the hiring, retention and promotion of diverse attorneys in legal departments and law firms by providing research, best practices, professional development and training; and through pipeline initiatives.

Wilson and the other winners will be honored at an awards ceremony in October.
